This lovely Breyer Arabian Stallion is alabaster white, with a black mane, tail, and knees/black points. According to the ‘Identify Your Breyer’ website, this version of the Family Arabian Stallion was from 1991-1992, and was originally part of the “Arabian Horses of the World” set that was featured in Sears’ Holiday Catalogue. About 4,350 of this model were made.
The Family Arabian Stallion (abbreviated FAS) was introduced in 1958 with no mold marks whatsoever. In early 1960, a partial round “Breyer Molding Co.” stamp appeared, followed later in that year by a full round stamp. In 1970, the “U.S.A.” stamp was added, with some also having the “B” stamp as well. Early models have correct stallion genitalia, but by sometime between the early 1970s and 1983, the scrotum becomes a solid bar. The mold was sculpted by Chris Hess based on the Hagen-Renaker “Amir” sculpted by Maureen Love. It is Breyer mold #7.

About 5,000 of this model were made.
The Scratching Foal model was introduced in 1970 with the round “Breyer Molding Co.” mold stamp. In 1970 or 1971, the “U.S.A.” stamp was added, and some of these may have the “B” stamp as well. The mold was sculpted by Chris Hess, and is Breyer mold #168.

The Jumping Horse mold was introduced in 1965 with only the round “Breyer Molding Co.” molding stamp. Some time in the early 1970s the “U.S.A.” stamp was added, and some also have the “B” stamp. The detachable wall jump had the round “Breyer Molding Co.” stamp until 1995, when a “ยฉ Breyer Reeves” stamp replaced it. It was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #300.
Quickstep is liver chestnut, and was made in 2008-2009.
The Scratching Foal was introduced in 1970 with the round “Breyer Molding Co.” mold stamp. In 1970 or 1971 the “U.S.A.” stamp was added, and some of these may have the “B” stamp as well. The mold was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #168.
The Might Tango mold has the round “Breyer Molding Co.” stamp, with some early models having the “B” stamp as well. Might Tango was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #3035MT.
The Sham mold was introduced in 1984 as part of Breyer’sย Artist Seriesย with the round “Breyer Molding Co.” mold stamp. In 1995 a “’95” mold stamp was added and discontinued at the end of that year, although some models with this mold mark showed up as part of the 1996ย BreyerFestย dinner model run. A “wheat ear” is located high on the molds’ chest, just below and slightly to the right of the windpipe. Originally included to match the description of the Sham from Marguerite Henry’sย King of the Wind, it was removed from the mold sometime between 1984 and 1988, likely in late 1984. Sham was sculpted by Rich Rudish and is Breyer mold #410.
The Arabian Stallion (or Classic Arabian Stallion – CAS) has the round “Breyer Molding Co.” mold stamp and the “U.S.A.” stamp, with some models also having the “B” stamp. The Arabian Stallion was sculpted by Maureen Love, originally forย Hagen-Renakerย as “Ferseyn,” and is Breyer mold #3055ST.
The Stormy mold was introduced in 1977 and is named for the equine star of Marguerite Henry’s bookย Stormy, Misty’s Foal.ย The mold has the round “Breyer Molding Co.” mold stamp, and it’s possible that some may have the “B” stamp as well. Stormy was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #19.
Adios is a portrait model of the multiple world champion Standardbred pacer. Introduced in 1969, the mold has the round “Breyer Molding Co.” stamp on an inside hind leg and slightly later models (probably beginning around 1970) also include the “U.S.A.” stamp.ย Some “U.S.A.” models also have the “B” stamp. It was sculpted by Chris Hess based on a piece by James Slick and is Breyer’s mold #50.
