The MB 02 is the Myler alternative to the traditional French link or lozenge mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits. The MB 02 rotates onto the tongue, applying tongue pressure, but because the mouthpiece is curved, it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. The barrel in the center applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue as a traditional three-piece mouthpiece, however, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly and creates Independent Side Movementโข. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.

This hanging cheek bit is useful in allowing a small amount of poll pressure whilst still being a snaffle. The sweet iron and copper link aids salivation and acceptance. Mouthpiece thickness: 16mm. Cheek height: 100mm. Sweet iron mouthpieces are designed to oxidize to produce a sweet taste which helps with mouthing. The addition of copper to the mouth ensures the horse will not take up too much of a contact, ideal for horses that can take a hold. The 33WL offers the highest degree of tongue relief in a dressage legal mouthpiece. The 33WL port has been widened considerably to permit plenty of room for the tongue. Because this mouthpiece does not rotate on to the tongue and the port is wide, it applies little to no tongue pressure, working primarily off the bars and lips, incorporating some chin and poll pressure depending on the cheekpiece.
