Myler Stainless Steel 5 1/2″ MBL Short Shank, MB 04 Low Port Comfort Snaffle, Level 2
The MB 04 is similar to the MB 02 in that it will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure; however, it has a small (ยผ”) port that introduces some tongue relief to the horse. The port allows the horse to swallow and move his tongue when he is moving forward and relaxed, which acts as a release or reward. The mouthpiece is curved, and it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.
Myler Stainless Steel Western Dee, MB 03 Comfort Snaffle with Copper Roller, Level 1
The MB 03 is the Myler alternative to the traditional French link or lozenge mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits with an added copper roller. The MB 03 rotates onto the tongue, applying tongue pressure, but because the mouthpiece is curved, it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. The barrel in the center applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue as a traditional three-piece mouthpiece; however, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly and creates Independent Side Movementโข. Shires Blue Alloy Loose Ring with Mullen Mouth
The mullen mouth is very stable in the horse’s mouth. It has a medium port creating space for the tongue and relieving pressure. Mouthpiece thickness: 12mm. Cheek height: 65mm. Blue sweet iron mouthpieces oxidise easily to create warmth with a sweet taste which helps with bit acceptance and encourages salivation. Please note the blue colour will fade with use. Stainless steel is used for the cheeks due to it being durable, easy to clean and resistance to rust.
