Waterford Loose Ring Snaffle Bit, 5″

The Waterford Loose Ring Snaffle is a surprisingly gentle bit and a great choice for horses who lean on the contact. This chain style bit is made of several small ball shaped links which allow the bit to lay softly in the horses mouth conforming perfectly to the individual shape and moving freely in all directions. The bit applies even pressure over the tongue, bars and lips and has no action on the roof of the mouth. It is generally well accepted by most horses. Should the horse try to grab the bit or lean on it, it collapses, forcing him to support himself. This bit should be ordered a little bit larger than the normal bit size as it should hang out of the corners of the mouth in order to work correctly.
