Parelli TherFlex pads have a literal cult following, but sadly due to the expense of production, these pads are no longer made. Which means, shims like this are getting very, very hard to find! Designed to buy used with the Parelli TheraFlex pad, however, they can be used with other pads as well. These are fully felted wool, designed to be slipped into the TheraFlex pockets with the nylon webbed loop (black) to keep them from sliding down. This loop also makes it very easy to drape over a saddle pad and keep them in place. The felted wool also helps these shims be extra grippy to reduce slippage as well. This shim set is near pristine, seeing very little use. Measures: 8.5โณ long x 7โณ wide x 1/4โณ thick.

When we developed the ThinLine English Seat Savers, we thought they would be a great way for riders to discover justย how much a ThinLine pad does for their horses.ย We had no idea, at the time, how much this littleย tack accessoryย would impact so many riders.ย Of course, protecting ridersโ backs from the daily impact we experience is important, but then we began hearing stories about how, with the seat maker, ridersโ seats became so quiet and stable that they were able to exponentiallyย improve their equitationย as well as their sense of security.ย Once removed for the show ring, riders have a new understanding of how still, sensitive and communicative they can be with their horses.
A stirrup iron in the English riding disciplines suspends from a narrow strip of leather and offers a flat base of support for the ball of the rider’s foot to assist with mounting and riding. Stirrup irons got their name from centuries’ old versions that were originally forged from iron. Today, stirrups can be made from long-wearing stainless steel, lightweight composite materials, aluminum and even heavy-duty colored plastic. Styles of stirrups vary now just as widely, from traditional Fillis irons to peacock “safety” stirrups to designs that relieve stress on the rider’s joints, remove excess weight or make proper leg positioning easier to achieve.
Nylon rear billet straps (often called “off-billets” or “back cinch billets”) are durable, weather-resistant attachments for Western saddles. They feature heat-sealed holes to prevent fraying, offering a strong, low-maintenance alternative to leather for securing rear cinches.
