Description
A new breed of professional horsebreeders has created a demand today for good detailed information about the management and raising of horses. Although our libraries are chocked with general books for the novice on horse care, there is a dearth of solid factual information available on the care and breeding of horses.
This material was compiled in an effort to fill the void. Much of the practical advice offered here is taken from “tried and true” experience accumulated and recorded during the peak of horse breeding activities at the turn of the centruy in England, the cradle of modern horse breeding as we know it today. With this as a foundation on which to build, details of modern techniques and new knowledge have been added, resulting in what I hope will be a helpful book for anyone wanting to become better informed and more successful in his horsebreeding venture.
