Description
National Velvet
The story of National Velvet follows 14-year old Velvet Brown, a horse-crazy girl living in rural Sussex, England, who wins an unruly but exceptionally talented jumping horse named “The Piebald” in a village raffle. Alongside her family and a former jockey names Mi Taylor, Velvet trains the horse and disguises herself as a male jockey to compete in the Grand National, England’s legendary steeplechase race.
