Smart And Simple Pure and Simple Original Summer Spray (Formally Zephyr’s Garden).

Directions: When applying Pure & Simple Original Summer Spray, spray liberally so entire coat is covered.  Be sure to spray generously on legs and underbelly.

• Can be used on a wet or dry horse.
• Can be sprayed directly onto fly sheets and all leg wraps.

• When applying to the head, face and ears, spray onto soft cloth or brush and apply carefully.
• Can be applied multiple times a day.

As with all topical products that are new to your horse, a 24 hour spot test is recommended before a full body application.

Aloe Vera Juice has emollient properties that help to support a normal skin reaction to temporary irritations.  A member of the Lily Family, Aloe Vera has been described in writings dating back to 2100 B.C., and was used across the globe by ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians, as well as Indians and Chinese.  

Apple Cider Vinegar is an excellent base for extracting the active components from herbs.  It is also a natural and gentle way to keep the pH of the skin in a normal range.

Arnica is a plant in the sunflower family that has been in use since at least the 16^th century when it was traditionally used for bruises, sprains and sore muscles.  Arnica helps support a normal inflammatory cytokine cascade.

Calendula may help ease discomfort caused by temporary skin irritation.  This is the common Marigold, whose use dates back at least to the 15^th century when the flowers were used topically on irritations of the skin.

Chamomile Flower supports normal inflammatory reaction.  Chamomile is a common, creeping, flowering plant in use since the ancient Greek and Egyptian eras.

Citronella Oil is a soothing topical emollient that also helps preserve normal microbial populations on the skin.  It is classified by the Environmental Protection Agency as a biopesticide.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil promotes normal skin flora.  It is from a tree indigenous to Australia, now found in North and South Africa, India, and Southern Europe, that was traditionally used as an antiseptic. 

Lavender provides antioxidant support.  Native to the Mediterranean, Lavender is an aromatic evergreen that was widely introduced into Europe and North America.  The essential oil was traditionally used to support healing, and was mixed with other oils for an antimicrobial effect.

Penny Royal: Like its cousin Peppermint, Penny Royal Oil produces a cooling sensation while simultaneously supporting skin circulation.

Wormwood Herb helps protect cells from oxidative damage. It is a perennial flower found throughout Europe, Siberia and North America with references to its use appearing as early as the Bible.
