Breyer Shetland Pony, #23
The Shetland Pony was introduced in 1960 and has a round “Breyer Molding Co.” stamp on its’ belly, with some early models have a “CHess” inside the right thigh as well. Some time between 1970 and 1972 the “U.S.A.” stamp was added, and some models also have the “B” stamp, with the “B” stamp removed in about 1983. The Shetland Pony was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #23.
