Breyer Grazing Mare
The Grazing Mare was introduced in 1961 with only the round “Breyer Molding Co.” stamp. Sometime around 1970 the “U.S.A.” stamp was added, and some of the also have the “B” stamp. She was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #141.
Breyer Proud Arabian Stallion, #839
The Proud Arabian Stallion (PAS) mold was introduced in 1971 and has both the round “Breyer Molding Co.” and “U.S.A.” mold stamps and sometimes the “B” stamp as well. The mold was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #211.

Breyer Our First Pony Gift Set Pinto Foal
From 1987-1996, the Marguerite Henry’s Our First Pony Gift Set #3066 included a Black Tobiano Shetland Pony (Midge) with halter, and Black Pinto Mustang Foal (Teeny) and a Bay Pinto Arabian Foal (Friday). The story is based on the family of Peter Stone.
Early releases (an estimated 200 models) were painted a black pinto.
Breyer Cloud’s Legacy Palomino Foal
The Trotting Stock Horse Foal was introduced in 2008 and has the round “© Breyer Reeves” mold mark. It was sculpted by Kathleen Moody and is Breyer mold #650.
Cloud’s Legacy was a limited mid-year release in 2009.
Breyer Twin Foal Amber
Amber was introduced in 1997 and has the “© Breyer Reeves.” linear mold stamp on the inside of the right hind leg. After the first “Amber” and “Ashley” sets were made the molds were retooled to realign the seam over the right eye, refining the ears, and relocating the chestnuts on the hind legs of the Amber molds. The chestnuts should have been below the hocks but were originally above the hocks, which provides an easy way to tell the older models from the newer ones. Amber and Ashley are the twin daughters of Marabella, and Amber is designed to fit under Marabella’s neck. Amber is a Morgan filly and Breyer mold #488. It was sculpted by Kathleen Moody.
Breyer Huckleberry Bey Famous Arabian Stallion #472
This is a Breyer Traditional Series model #472 of the Arabian stallion Huckleberry Bey.
The model is a portrait of the real-life National Champion Arabian Stallion Huckleberry Bey (1976-1992).
It was sculpted by Kathleen Moody and produced by Breyer between 1999 and 2007.
The model is known for its dynamic pose and detailed rich bay color with distinct white markings.
It is in the Traditional 1:9 scale and typically comes with a clear plastic stand, as seen in the image, because it does not stand on its own.

Breyer Misty and Stormy of Chincoteague

The Misty mold is a portrait model of the horse made famous in Marguerite Henry’s book Misty of Chincoteague. The mold has both the round “Breyer Molding Co.” and “U.S.A.” mold stamps, and occasionally the “B” stamp as well. First introduced in 1972, she has been in production ever since. Misty was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #20.
The Stormy mold was introduced in 1977 and is named for the equine star of Marguerite Henry’s book Stormy, Misty’s Foal. The mold has the round “Breyer Molding Co.” mold stamp, and it’s possible that some may have the “B” stamp as well. Stormy was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #19.

The Lying Foal (G3) mold was introduced in 2007. It was sculpted by Jane Lunger and is Breyer mold #5630.

Breyer Rarin’ to Go Semi-Rearing Stallion
The Semi-Rearing Mustang (or Mustang) mold was introduced in 1961 with the round “Breyer Molding Co.” mold stamp, with later (post 1970) models adding the “U.S.A.” stamp. Many early models also had the tip of the the near front hoof cut flat, probably to help stabilize the model. The model was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #87.
Running Stallion Breyer, “Rumbling Thunder” #879
This Running Stallion model is a beautiful matte and semigloss dark dapple grey, with solid face, and black mane and tail. The stallion’s body shade varies from medium dark grey to nearly black, both matching its name, Rumbling Thunder, and the stormy skies one would see with an incoming thunderstorm.
Rumbling Thunder is model #879, and was released during 1993-1994.
Excellent condition.
Breyer Running Mare
The Running Mare was introduced in about 1961 with only the round “Breyer Molding Co.” mold stamp. In 1970 the “U.S.A.” stamp was added, and some of these also have the “B” stamp. Beginning in 1983 or 1984 and running through 1993 the mold had a flattened off (right) side eye, with less definition to the corner of the cheekbone as well. In 1994 this flat eye was fixed, although the area around the eye remains flawed. The 1994 eye is larger and sticks out more than pre-1983 models. The Running Mare was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #120.
Breyer Medicine Hat Mare and Foal
The Thoroughbred Mare was introduced in 1973 and has the round “Breyer Molding Co.” and “U.S.A.” mold stamps, and some may have the “B” stamp as well. The mold was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #3155MA.
The Suckling Foal, also called the Nursing Foal, was introduced in 1973 and is designed to nurse from the Thoroughbred Mare. It has the round “Breyer Molding Co.” and the “U.S.A.” mold stamps, and some models may also have the “B” stamp. The mold was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #3155FO.
